First, I saw a new Civic. I like them, fuck tha haters.
I also saw a Lexus RC, I liked it too. Works wayy better in person. Pictures don’t really capture the proportions, like most Lexii.

That’s a nice angle on the Lexy.

Join the club. I kinda like the Civic too. Not as much as the 3, but way more than anything else in the class.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

I’ve seen the Lexus & Honda. They must really be on awesome terms with their design folks at Lexus.
But the haters don’t hate on the Civic look For Canada....

agree on the Civic - I am warming to it, (except the goofy wheels.) The model with the baby turbo motor sounds like the hot set up.

I would like the Civic a million times better if: a.) it was actually a liftback, b.) it didn’t have those hateful fake “vents” on the bumper, and c.) the rear light continued across to form the CHSML instead of stopping on either side just short of the “spoiler”

Both look really good, especially the civic. Can't wait til I start seeing more on the road.

Does the Lexus RC share a platform with anything else?

Interesting. I had to look it up. I really haven’t been following Lexus’ offerings lately.

It’s actually a weird hybrid platform with the front portion of the Gs, the center portion of the previous IS convertible, and the IS rear end. That is the reason why it weighs so much.

Are the RC’s just coming out in Canada? They’ve been out long enough here that I’m starting to see modified ones. Some guy in my neighborhood stanced his. I’ve only seen one actual RCF but most of the 350's here seem to have the F-Sport kit. Overall I like it... the Lexus styling doesn’t work well on the sedans and SUV’s but the RC is nice.
Still not sure about the new Civic. Every day for the past 2 weeks I’ve passed one in a parking lot of a local business and it looks good from some angles but not others. I saw one in traffic and the C-shaped tail lights were pretty awesome.

Living in Torrance (where the US Honda and Lexus HQ are located) I’ve seen plenty of these two cars. They look pretty good in person. The civic especially looks pretty fancy for a compact car. Makes me excited for the next-gen Acura ILX.
